What is Built Green®?

Built Green® is a certification program that recognizes industry members who build resource-efficient homes beyond regulatory code. The program provides builders and developers with a clear road map to green building while providing customers with a credible brand developed by industry experts. Built Green® is designed to meet the growing demand for healthier, environmentally responsible, and more energy efficient homes and communities that are also cost effective to own and operate.

How we do it?

  • Using a voluntary, market-driven approach
  • Delivering a credible standard for home construction that reflects the Spokane Home Builders Association’s commitment to building better communities through environmental responsibility
  • Providing information and education to enhance the capacity of our design and building professionals to employ effective technologies, products, and practices
  • Actively promoting the features and benefits of building green to homebuyers, making Built Green® the preferred consumer standard
