The Remodelers Council educates consumers, recognizes achievements, participates in legislative and regulatory issues, provides industry information and offers networking opportunities for companies involved in residential remodeling. We also offer many events and services that benefit the public. For the last three years, the Council leads the Where Does Your Home Hurt service project to help a needy individual or family through completely transforming a portion of their home. In addition members of the Council partners with organizations like Habitat for Humanity, the Wishing Star Foundation and KXLY's Extreme Team to better the community.
We're here to help you create the home of your dreams! Why hire a professional remodeler? Hiring a professional remodeler means you'll be working as a team with someone who has years of experience in the industry. This professional contractor has experience in projects like yours, knows about the latest products on the market and takes pride in his or her craft.
When you work with an experienced remodeler, you can be confident the person you've hired has extensive industry knowledge and may have earned a Certified Graduate Remodeler (CGR) certification. The CGR designation is conferred by the National Association of Home Builders on professional remodelers who have completed a rigorous course of study and testing. CGRs must continue their education in order to retain their certification.
A quality remodeling company also helps you stay within your budget and maintain an organized project. Remodelers are used to working in occupied homes and act accordingly. This makes the project more pleasant for everyone.
The state of Washington requires that all remodelers be registered, bonded and insured. When you hire a remodeler affiliated with the Spokane Home Builders Association, you'll find yourself working with a top-notch professional.
The Value of Remodeling
Updating your home will add value, but deciding to do a remodel should not be totally based on an appraisal or the resale value of the home. You also need to consider the personal satisfaction or pleasure the project will bring you.
Get Involved. Get Connected.
The Spokane Home Builders Association Remodelers Council was formed to meet the professional needs of members who are involved in the remodeling profession; one of the fastest-growing areas of the building industry. The Remodelers Council keeps its members at the forefront of industry developments and increases consumer awareness of the remodeling industry through a variety of programs, education and publications. These members have gained access to valuable resources and opportunities to network with others in the remodeling industry.
Members are made up of remodelers, builders, designers, vendors, and service providers just like you who are dedicated to their craft and want to further their professional development. Council meetings include a FREE light breakfast, are held at 7:00 a.m. the second Wednesday of each month and are typically sponsored by members who provide information on their products/services. These meetings often feature educational programs and are ideal settings for members to discuss issues they are facing and share helpful information. The Council is open to remodeler members and associate members alike. The Council membership fee is $70 for each member firm. This fee also includes membership in the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) Remodelers Council.
