In an effort to promote professionalism in the building industry, the SHBA provides members with educational opportunities designed for both owners and employees. We schedule a variety of courses and offer nationally recognized designations for members to pursue.

Professional Designations

SHBA maintains its' support of the Certified Graduate Remodeler / Builder / Associate, Graduate Master Builder, Residential Construction Superintendent, Certified New Home Sales Professional and Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist Designation Programs by offering credited courses in cooperation with the BIAW and the NAHB.

Topical Issues

Addressing important industry issues, SHBA (in cooperation with BIAW) offers seminars addressing issues such as: International Residential Code transition Contracts, Warrantees, Insurance and Homeowner Maintenance.
