The Membership Committee focuses on recruiting prospective members as well as making sure current members are maximizing their membership by getting involved. This is a great way to meet a lot of members. Plus, you become part of our SPIKE program, where you will not only earn recognition but win money, prizes, and trips, receive invitations to exclusive networking events, and more.

Education Committee

Work together with fellow SHBA members to promote careers in the construction industry as well as build continuing educational courses and seminars for members and their employees. With workforce development being one of the top issues facing the construction industry and directly affecting your business, the Education Committee is more important than ever.

Government Affairs Committee

The GA Committee helps the Association keep a pulse on local legislation affecting the building industry and general business community as well as recommends strategies for political involvement and pro-housing policies. On this committee you will have access to key elected officials and policymakers as well as position yourself to take a leadership role regarding legislation and regulation that directly affect your business.

SHBA-PAC Committee

Help us fight for you by being active in determining how our financial resources are directed to help shape our political environment and elect candidates who will support our industry. This committee makes endorsement recommendations and raises funds to support these candidates and SHBA political efforts.

Creating initiatives to guide the Association’s messaging to consumers and members, the Communications Committee is key in developing strategies to maintain SHBA’s position as the definitive resource for housing needs. This diverse group of builders, Realtors, marketing professionals and others gives you an opportunity to not only guide the Association’s marketing strategies but grow your business and yourself.

Fall Festival of Homes Committee

The annual Fall Festival of Homes is our largest public event. The committee proposes and implements new ideas to keep the event fresh and guides the overall direction of the show.

Golf Tournament Committee

Do you love the game of golf? This annual event, in its 25th year, is one of our largest member events, drawing nearly 150 members. The committee develops the theme, guides the direction of the tournament and has a really good time making it one of our most popular member events.
